Chesapeake Trail

Located at Court House Landing on RT. 3 just outside Lancaster on the Corrotoman, that NNAS developed with Lancaster County. 

The Chesapeake Trail is an ideal place for children and adults to learn more about nature.  The loop trail is marked with 16 trail markers that denote significant places along the way. There is an overlook on the edge of the Corrotoman for observing waterfowl and aquatic vegetation.  Trees are marked with identification signs to help us to become familiar with the various varieties.  Benches are installed along the trail and there is an outdoor instruction area for our school children and their teachers.
