Hickory Hollow Spring Maintenance |
|
The Air was clear and warm, the birds were singing, and the trees were opening their buds as nine volunteers met at Hickory Hollow to prepare the preserve for the spring hiking season. We clipped Mountain Laurel and other brush from over one mile of trail, cleared ten downed trees from trails throughout the preserve, set a signpost, and picked up four bags of trash from the parking lot and along Regina Road. We were finished in less than three hours. Thanks to those who participated: Reta Stover, Paul Servis, Jessica Servis, Peter Saam, John Langloh, Lance Johnsen, Rea Hinch, Bob Healy, and Tom Gregory.
