Volunteers are needed for Irvington Farmer’s Market on the first Saturday of each month through December and Heathsville Farmer’s Market on the third Saturday of each month through November. The hours at both locations are 8:00-12:00. . You only need to work for 2 hours at either place. To volunteer for Irvington call Jim Wagner at (804)436-1051 or for Heathsville call Imy Weimerskirch at (804)435-5339. Both locations give NNAS an opportunity to be more visible to the general public. Information is dispensed about the chapter, local wildlife, Hickory Hollow and to answer questions the public may have about a variety of topics. Bluebird Houses and bird books are for sale. Volunteers often find they learn more from the public than they dispense. It has been a great way to attract new members to the chapter.
