Orchids of the Northern Neck
 

A walk to discuss and identify the sixteen species of native orchids in the Northern Neck will be given by Ellis Sqnires and Ann Messick, at Hickory Hollow on May 24th at 9 a.m. 

Registration is limited to 12 and may be made by calling him at The Book Nook at 435-3355. 

                           

Hickory Hollow is home to 500 plant species, including rare orchids and emerging mushrooms after a late summer rain. It is home to breeding birds such as Acadian Flycatcher, hooded, and black-and-white warblers.
