President's Message - Paul Servis

As summer winds down and autumn approaches NNAS moves through another year of activity. We are involved in many projects and have many opportunities for our members to take part. I invite all of our members to join a committee or to work on one of our NNAS projects.

Audrey Brainard our Newsletter Editor, who for many years did such a wonderful job for us, has moved on to other projects and is unable to continue her work on our newsletter. We need
someone, who is interested in continuing our tradition of providing our members with a fine newsletter that will keep them informed of Audubon news and activities.

Gerry Eddy our Field Trip and Bird Walk Leader has stepped down, after service above and beyond the call of duty. We were fortunate to have Gerry organize and lead our bird walks and we owe him many thanks. Now we have the opportunity to continue our monthly walk with our wealth of able leaders. My hope for this year's bird walks is to identify several walk leaders in various parts of our area and to organize walks in different geographic areas of orthern Neck. We have many members who are great walk leaders and many great places to have bird walks. Our need at this time is to find a volunteer to coordinate the bird walks.
